More Amazing Products for Pets

I've been spending far too much blog space worrying and writing about stray cats. It's time for some fun, so I thought I'd feature a few of the latest sometimes cool, sometimes useless products for pets:

Umbrellas at Brolliesgalore. One for your dog

I think this is one of those items that seemed like a good idea at the time.

The Crazy Cat Lady costume -- just in time for Halloween.

Some pets are notorious for gulping down their food only to barf it up a few minutes later. These three posts encourage your pet to dine at a more leisurely pace. Might also frustrate the hell out of them. Note to self: find out if this product is available for humans.

The "click on the bowl to see how it works" doesn't work for me.

Fun Run Outdoor Cat Enclosure

(via Aswan)

This outdoor enclosure is supposed to keep your cat safe from predators and getting lost or run over. But all I can think of when I look at it is:

1) The potential for it to roll down the driveway or lawn, and into the path of an oncoming car.

2) How a large dog might view this as a gigantic toy -- with a live kitty inside! Kind of like a Cracker Jack box for canines.

I really like the dog brolly and the pillar bowl. I also know what I'm getting Raggs for Halloween! <grin>

You must promise to take a picture of Raggs inside the cat enclosure! Er ... maybe you meant the Crazy Cat Lady costume.

I think the doggie umbrella is a really cute idea. However... with the ultra-strict "leash" laws here in NY, holding on to both the umbrella *and* the leash might prove just a wee bit tiring for the owner on those rainy day walks.

Love the crazy cat lady costume!

Especially, since I'm now the proud mommy of a new little kitty boy from the North Shore Animal League here in NY.

His name is Patrick and he's 5 months old. And, I absolutely love him to bits!

Ooops! I see now that the leash is *attached*

In that case, I think it's a novel idea! Sorry, it's still early here and I'm just on my first cup of coffee. (I need several!)

Congratulations, Georgie, on the newest addition to your family. What colour is he?

10:17 is early? Man, I was up at 5:00 this morning. Of course, I'm absolutely insane.

He's white with black spots.

Had to take him for a booster shot today. Of course, he wasn't exactly in favor of it -- but thankfully, we got it done.

Pets are always so happy to come home from the vet that they believe you're a hero for bringing them home -- forgetting that we were the ones that took them in the first place.

Grinning ear to ear. Oh, I eat from one of those bowls, and it doesn't help!

Then I'll save my money, Sue. Perhaps what I need is a bowl with less food in it ... I must give that a try sometime.
