Read an interesting little news item this morning: Scientists, at a biotech company called Pharming Group, have genetically modified rabbits whose milk will be used to treat heart patients. The rabbit herd's milk contains a protein that helps control inflammation in the human body.
This has just got to be some kind of hoax, don't you think? I can't imagine how one would even go about milking a bunny -- I'm picturing doll-sized pails, and dairy farmers with really tiny fingers.

My uncle has a dairy farm, so I'm sure they just use tiny rabbit-sized milking machines.
DOes that mean rabbit cheese is not far behind?
Maybe they're just super-sized rabbits, NT. Actually, if this story is true, then I can only think that it won't be a good thing for the rabbits -- not much of a life.
I would imagine they could even use a "syringe" of some type??
Dunno, just a guess. Anyway, looks like the Easter Bunny will be bringing us goodies like "real" bunny ice cream and yogurt soon.
Ah, technology....
I haven't the foggiest, Georgie. I'm not sure if rabbit cheese, ice cream and yogurt will fly off the shelves, but I've been wrong before.
poor bunnies if its true, most likely a "too weird to be wonderful" story!!!
I think you might be right, Karla.
