Two weeks later

We planted a bush called "Burning Bush" for my mother. It turns bright orange in the fall. Winds came and the beautiful orange lasted three days.

My parents also have a Burning Bush, and you're right, it's beautiful. But you have to be quick if you want to enjoy the colourful leaves!

Ok, I'm sorry, and I can relate, but when I saw the title and the pictures I busted out laughing!

Are you trying to tell me I'm being petty, NT? Or is it simply my obvious horror of naked trees?

Oh, that Mother Nature. Sharing her beauty with us...then snatching it all away. Then making us pay penance, by sloshing through a harsh, snowy winter, before we can see it all again.

Life, eh?

What a beautiful and poetic way of saying winter is coming, Georgie. You make it sound almost worth it.

You do realize its one month tomorrow to Christmas, and we've usually had a good two weeks of cold winter by this time most years?!!!
I am sorry bout your beautiful tree's leaves... we also have a japanese maple out front with red leaves, which were lost last week after a nice brisk burst of wind too!!! :)
But isn't it a comfort to know we have something to look forward to that has no price tag in the spring!!?!

I'm trying very hard to remain positive about the coming winter, Karla. If you hear me complaining while getting my morning coffee fix, please give me a nudge.
